Aliya Lakhani | Precursor Ventures

Aliya Lakhani is an Associate at Precursor Ventures, where she works across sourcing, diligencing, and portfolio support, with a focus on backing founders at the earliest stages. She originally joined the firm as one of the first non-MBA graduate interns while completing her Ph.D. Prior to Precursor, Aliya held several research roles at Moffitt Cancer Center, UCSF, and MedImmune (AstraZeneca). She was also a fellow at MedTech and BioTools Innovator, supporting startups building in healthcare and life sciences. She was a graduate fellow at DigitalDx Ventures and Supply Change Capital.

Aliya holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from UCLA.
