From our days clipping coupons out of the newspaper to doing a search for a coupon code online, consumers are all about finding benefits and perks when shopping.

Kudos is one of those companies helping us do that. It has created an AI-powered smart wallet that recommends the right credit card to maximize rewards and cash back when making purchases.

Kudos uses artificial intelligence to figure out consumer spending habits so it can then provide more personalized financial advice, like maximizing rewards and utilizing credit effectively, Tikue Anazodo, co-founder and CEO of Kudos, told TechCrunch. TechCrunch

Throughout his time as a lead product manager at Google and for the Affirm launch on Amazon.com, Tikue Anazodo noticed that checkout products – including the ones he helped build – were primarily catering to merchants, not consumers. New solutions were aimed at solving problems and easing pain points for merchants, and “the consumer in this equation had been, in a sense, left behind,” he said. That realization sparked a conversation with Ahmad Ismail – who shares a similar background of working at Google and Affirm – about how to create a consumer-focused smart wallet.
